I Believe in the Future of Ag Campaign Raises Nearly $430,000

2013-14 I Believe in the Future of Ag winners, Stuart FFA

After all the hard work our chapters put into the I Believe in the Future of Ag campaign, State FFA Convention is always very exciting for us. We get to announce the results of this year’s campaign!

The I Believe in the Future of Ag campaign is capacity building and educational campaign. Helping out efforts at both the state and local levels. Local donors can designate which chapter receives their donation and 100% of their donation is tax-deductible and goes directly to the chapter or chapters they choose. These participating chapters also receive a portion of a $24,000 matching pot.

We were able to honor three chapters at this year’s state convention for raising the most money per FFA member. Here’s a recap of what they’ll use their money for:

  • Stuart FFA – The Stuart FFA chapter will purchase additional equipment to expand CASE (Curriculum for the Agricultural Science Education) currently being implemented in addition to building a greenhouse and animal lab to enhance supervised agriculture experience opportunities for students.
  • Bridgeport FFA – The Bridgeport FFA chapter will use their donations to pay for basic FFA programming needs such as officer and leadership skills training, travel expenses and county fair.
  • Bloomfield FFA – The Bloomfield FFA chapter placed third and will be using their funds to allow members to attend Nebraska FFA’s NPower leadership conference and the Washington Leadership Conference.

We are very proud of the 73 chapters who participated in the 2013-14 I Believe in the Future of Ag campaign. They raised almost $200,000 at the local level and with the addition of our corporate partners, the campaign totaled almost $430,000!
