FFA week is a time for FFA members to educate and advocate to their communities about agricultural education and FFA. FFA week began its tradition in 1947. They decide the dates of National FFA Week by when George Washington’s birthday is to honor him. This year, National FFA Week is February 20th-27th.
This year’s National FFA Week theme is “Amplify.” Amplify’s definition is: “to make larger, greater, or stronger.” This is exactly what everyone in FFA should do during FFA week. We want to make FFA known to all and how members benefit from the organization. Spread the word of FFA to make the organization larger, greater, and stronger. Nebraska FFA chapter activities can spark excitement by hosting an ag olympics, children’s barnyard, dress up days, newsletters, trivia competitions, quiz bowls, afternoon announcements, visiting the elementary school, handing out treats, and many other activities.
